Sourcing Manager - Electronics

Job Description: Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Sourcing Manager, Electronics, is to develop and implement an Electronics Sourcing Strategy. This will include the rationalization of our existing supply base, the selection of strategic suppliers, the transfer of existing business, the management of on-going business relationships with strategic suppliers, and the leveraging of standard Boston Scientific processes and systems where appropriate.

The candidate will manage his/her strategic suppliers to deliver high performance in terms of delivery performance, quality, total cost of ownership/service and responsiveness. Success will be realized through a combination of the effective use of company processes/systems and innovative development of new practices.

Requirements:
BS degree preferred. The candidate should have strong skills in project management, negotiation, contract development and communication. The ability to manage through influence, in a matrix environment, is critical. Experience and aptitude in using SAP and related decision support systems is a plus. The candidate should have experience sourcing cables, connectors, PCB/A, capacitors, and assembly operations among other categories in a global environment. Working experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
