Responsible for leading cross-divisional business teams in strategic planning, analysis and execution of consolidated purchase agreements. Integrated supplier base with business processes and negotiate agreements to leverage their capabilities and volume. Candidate must have indirect spend experience in service as well as commodities.  You will serve multiple cusotmers at multiple geographies.  This is a customer facing role, you will lead client meetings and supplier negotiations. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Negotiations: Skilled in understanding and negotiating complex agreements and able to lead a negotiating team. Agreements may be global in scope.Technical Ability: Develops strategies and leads cross-functional business teams through a high level understanding of technology, industry and market conditions.Quality and Supplier Productivity: Pro-actively drive supplier productivity initiatives and jointly develop supplier quality road maps through the use of TQM principles.Teamwork: Demonstrate peer acceptance and recognition as a team leader/motivator who seeks communication and diverse viewpoints.Sourcing Strategy: Leads and facilitates cross-functional strategy formulation for a commodity, identifies key milestones, and leads team to accomplish business objectives.Supplier Capability Management: Anticipates market changes and uses them to develop commodity plans that leverage supplier capability.Integrated Supplier Management: Leads cross-functional initiatives to link supplier capabilities to potential product development/enhancement opportunities.Material Focus: Leads and facilitates cross-functional teams formulating material flow and logistics strategies to support manufacturing Self Starter - Drive for Results

Four year degree in Engineering or Business related area. Five to Seven years experience in purchasing or related discipline. Demonstrated leadership and strategic skills. Outstanding professional and written verbal communication skills. Technical acumen a plus! Knowledge of business and contract law as applied to supplier relationships. Strong negotiating skills.MBA is preferred. Exposure to global sourcing.
