Sr. Buyer for Renowned Nonprofit Organization
An international, nonprofit organization that creates sustainable, culturally relevant solutions, enabling communities worldwide to break longstanding cycles of poor health is seeking a Senior Buyer.
As Senior Buyer of the Procurement team you will administer large purchase orders according to the terms, conditions, and schedules to ensure that commodities are delivered in a timely and appropriate manner to developing country locations. Other responsibilities include: coordinating logistics, including international freight, trouble shooting, problem escalation and resolution, as well as track, maintain, and manage data systems related to deliveries, payments, and other operations on the project.
Qualified candidates should have 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably international procurement, health care, biotech, or computer equipment. Experience with international logistics or developing countries a plus. Excel experience, as well as knowledge of integrated purchasing software, such as SOLOMON, MRP, or other is a plus.
