Strategic Sourcing Buyer/Long Term Contract

Kelly Engineering has a 6 month contract with possibility of hire in Milwaukee, WI for a STRATEGIC SOURCING BUYER.

The main purpose of this position is to manage, lead, develop and implement strategic procurement strategies, optimize cost, quality, timing and innovation goals of assigned commodities and suppliers.

The main functions you would be responsible for include:
-Through strong professional negotiating skills establish, maintain and improve supplier alliances, partnerships, performance and contingency plans.
-Initiate goals and objectives for quality and delivery improvement, inventory reduction, returnable packaging, etc.
-Identify and qualify suppliers for outside operations to supplement the companies capabilities.
-Review and approve engineering change requests for all purchased parts, materials and outside operations.
-Make disposition on nonconformance reports and obtain resolution and permanent corrective action for current production part numbers.
-Review and resolve exceptions on PO acknowledgements, with regard to price, upon receipt and amend PO pricing immediately.
-Responsible for negotiating all pricing and contracts for production and nonproduction parts and materials.
-Promote Lean Manufacturing Programs with suppliers to improve quality and reduce waste, inventory and cost.
