Warner Bros. Studio Facilities, a division of WB Studio Enterprises Inc. seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Tech Services for the Procurement department. Position responsible for reviewing, assessing, and delivering savings and process improvements in the sourcing of IT hardware/software, telecom equipment and software, application software and professional services. Will work closely with MIS to identify these savings opportunities and facilitate procurement process through contract execution. Formally develops opportunity assessments for IT hardware, software, internet and telecom equipment and services and presents to management. Performs support services reviews for hubs, routers, switches, laptops, desktops, servers, printers and other peripherals. Experience in software licensing models, maintenance and support agreements and renewals. Determines the best licensing model for WB use, considering all WB divisions? requirements and any internal cost allocation structure for implementation of that model. Performs support services reviews for enterprise software agreements, including, but not limited to: Adobe, Business Objects, Citrix, Hummingbird, IBM family of products, Macromedia, Mercury, Microsoft family, NetIQ, Oracle, Remedy, Symantec, Veritas, VMWare, and Workshare Technologies. Prepares detailed project plans that incorporate fundamental decision making processes, tracks multiple projects status, and communicates with IT project teams. Monitors contract revenue commitments and performance across a variety of metrics to meet contractual requirements. Applies practical analytical decision-making methodology to supplier selection. Will be required to conduct periodic benchmarking of supplier facilities as part of the review process. Performs special projects and other related duties as required. Identifies and qualifies potential sources of supply and actively researches supplier markets. Develops negotiating strategies and negotiates hardware, software, support and consulting service contracts. Develops negotiation strategies across a wide array of IT hardware, software applications, and internet-related services across multiple business units with varying service level requirements. Builds decision-making tools and processes for complex, technical solutions. Drafts and prepares formal supplier requests, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs across a wide range of IT products & services that successfully generate qualitative and quantitative supplier responses. Liaises with Warner Bros. staff across all business units, including, but not limited to, Finance, MIS/IT, Telecom, Accounting (A/P & A/R), Consumer Products, Production, etc. Interacts with suppliers to monitor & manage multiple vendor relationships. Will be required to initiate and conduct audits as required. Monitors internal customer satisfaction and develops service level escalation and problem-resolution procedures.


Requirements


BS/BA degree in Business, Computer Science, or related area required. C.P.M. preferred. Minimum of 5 years work experience in technology procurement. Previous procurement/purchasing/sourcing experience required. Experience in the use of an automated purchasing system required. Entertainment experience desired, but not required. Must have knowledge and familiarity with IT hardware and software, as well as internet services, from either a procurement standpoint or hands-on applications experience. Experience writing and generating RFPs, RFIs and RF?s to suppliers required. Must possess strong oral and written communications skills. Persuasive written and oral presentation skills a must. Must have ability to communicate/interact with senior management across a wide area of disciplines, including, but not limited to, IT/Telecommunications. Good quantitative skills and experience required. Must be able to operate an IBM compatible personal computer and possess proficiency with MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel, and Project. Knowledge of Visio a plus. Must be able to work under pressure and meet project timelines/deadlines. Must have business acumen and ability to work and thrive in a Team environment. Working knowledge of finance needed to facilitate review of vendor financial statements and analysis of procurement alternatives, leases, and third party. Strong work ethic required.
