Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Process Specialist for Plastic Injection Molding and
related processes for brake components (reservoirs, valve bodies,
pistons...) to assure and improve quality of supplied parts.

Leading and / or participating with cross functional teams to solve
issues related to supplied parts including definition and implementation
of short and long term corrective actions and the verification of their
effectiveness. Participate in risk assessments and definition of
contingency measures of planned and existing production processes in the
supply chain. Contributing to design for manufacturability analysis,
DFMEA's, PFMEA's, transfer of lessons learned and other safe launch
activities. Support of process and quality systems audits at existing
and potential suppliers.

Requirements:

Extensive knowledge of plastic molding tool design and manufacturing
processes
Extensive knowledge of and experience with quality assurance tools for
incident management (8D reports and CA/PA's), root cause analysis (5
Why's, Shainin, Design of Experiments...), process controls (Poka-Yoke,
Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing...) and predictive / preventative QA
tools.
BS Degree from acredited University (Engineering or other technical
discipline preferred)
Ability and willingness to travel to foreign and domestic locations.
Good communication skills with ability to manage several tasks
simultaneously.

Preferred:

Actual production experience in the molding of plastic components for
the automotive industry.
Experience conducting or supporting process and system audits at
suppliers or internally.
Experience with Bosch Production System, Toyota Production System or
other Lean Manufuacturing processes.
Experience with Value Stream Mapping and waste elimination / process
optimization methods.
