We welcome you to apply for the following position opportunity as a SupplierNet Manager with the Supply Chain Management Logistics group of the Utility Boiler Business US Region operation, located in Windsor, CT.

Responsibilities:

SupplierNet is a critical system application supporting core business processes as the sole tool for electronic distribution of Purchase Orders, expediting of material and software deliverables; delivery, receipt of and repository of drawings; preparation and transmittal of documents and other electronic files from ALSTOM, its suppliers and its Customers. This system is pivotal to timely and accurate performance in a fast-paced business environment with tight deadlines and critical deliverables.

The SupplierNet Manager is responsible for deployment, maintenance and continued development of the system application. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the reliability of the application, implementation troubleshooting and problem solving (hardware, software and user related), training and coaching of user community, identification and recommendation of modifications and enhancements aligned with process changes, and lead role in driving related upgrades. This role involves regular interface with users in a variety of internal functional groups and with Suppliers and Customers. Is the primary liaison with IT for system maintenance and modifications.

Experience / Qualifications:

* B.S. in Engineering or Business Administration discipline or applicable practical experience.

* Minimum of 8 years of technical and/or commercial experience in a heavy industry business, preferably in the power generation field.

* Highly proficient advanced computer skills, preferably with e-procurement, JDE and/or SAP or equivalent systems. Experience with ACCESS or other database applications is required. Website experience is essential.

* Demonstrated aptitude in systems analysis to correlate business processes to systems applications.

* Proficient analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving competencies.

* Competent training and coaching skills.

* Highly effective communication and collaborative interface skills, with demonstrated competency in building sound working relationships and in influencing others.

* Occasional domestic and international travel required.
