Technical Buyer

The candidate will become an industry expert in manufacturing equipment, through supplier relationships and benchmarking, in order to drive strategies that deliver key business needs that include growth, process improvements and total cost contributions. It will be critical to establish and maintain strategic alliances with suppliers, stakeholders and senior management focused on total cost and service solutions, not just price. The individual will need to understand the dynamics of the market in order to develop purchasing recommendations and lead implementations.

***Location to be Tarrytown, East Hanover, or Nortshore*** Bachelors Degree required. Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Engineering. Supplier Optimization, negotiation and contracting expertise required. Strong project management, general knowledge in procurement processes, business and financial acumen and business savvy required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing desired.
