Transportation (Trucking & Courier) Strategic Sourcing Specialist

An international construction and industrial equipment client seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist with expertise in Transportation (trucking and courier) to join its team. This is a permanent opportunity and based in Tampa, Florida.  Client will relocate for this position.

You will develop and manage negotiations with strategic suppliers for domestic trucking, courier and small parcel categories by:

* Managing and negotiating strategic sourcing agreements with 3rd party logistics providers supporting the transportation  network;

* Conducting Spend analysis;

* Establish company standards;

* Perform market analysis;

* Negotiate contracts;

* Lead development of policies related to usage to drive savings;

* Measure, manage and report.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

?  Bachelors degree;

?  CPM certification, or Six Sigma, a plus;

?  5-10 years strategic sourcing, or purchasing experience;

?  Experience sourcing transportation related services;

?   Ability to travel domestically up to 20%.
