We are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our Markets Group located in Chicago, IL. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is the junior professional at an asset, functioning as the professional-in-charge of specific building and ownership initiatives under the direction and supervision of the General Manager. As a key member of the management team, the AGM is responsible for the implementation and execution of most programs designed to ensure client and owner satisfaction.

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER - Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:
Detailed development and management of property budgets
Specific client reporting requirements
Implement various property-level initiatives (e.g. tenant satisfaction, capital improvements, etc.)
Manage property staff
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts
Lease administration and tenant billing
Develop sufficient real estate expertise, business acumen and property-specific knowledge to function as a proxy for the General Manager in communications with the client, building tenants, vendors, the property staff, and the local business and real estate community
Develop into a viable General Manager candidate within 1 to 3 years

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (advanced degree a plus)
Minimum of 2 to 5 years general business experience
Demonstrated leadership experience
Financial and accounting acumen
Effective organizational skills and time management practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computer proficiency
