Area Manager
Area Manager Responsibilities Attain short- and long- term profit objectives
Develop and implement medium and long term marketing and operational strategies to adjust to changing market conditions
Develop and maintain customer relations
Develop strategies to increase profitability of agency business; manage agency relations and activity
Manage local sales force including planning and implementing sales activities, training on sales techniques and maintaining direct customer contact in support of sales
Assure efficient customer service by evaluating customer satisfaction, establishing specific and competitive service standards, developing internal procedures, and assuring that automation supports production
Plan, direct and evaluate, and reward staff production toward achievement of corporate and local goals
With support from Corporate Human Resources, recruit, evaluate, manage, and develop employees
Provide technical and supervisory training for staff
Maintain and communicate information on all corporate and local policies and procedures
May participate in technical aspects of title insurance policy production
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of real estate investing, lending practices, title insurance production, underwriting, and closing procedures
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in person and by telephone
Demonstrated negotiating and decision-making skills
Knowledge of sound management practices
Strong analytical and reasoning capabilities
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field with ten years title insurance management, banking, law, or real estate experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
