Assistant General Manger & Residential Life Coordinator

Summary

 

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager is to contribute towards the overall management of university student apartment housing.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, fiscal monitoring; program development and implementation; co-supervision of student staff; student development and contact; enforcement of housing policies; reporting, publications, leasing plan implementation; supervision of employees all clerical tasks associated with assignments; accounts receivable and the maintenance residents? accounts.

 

Residential Life

 

? Provides overall support of the Residence Life Student Development program.

?  The Assistant Manager ? Residence Life supports the general management and administrative operations of the facility, co-supervises student staff, and participates heavily in staff selection, training and evaluation and policy enforcement.

?  In conjunction with the Manager or Director of Housing, assists in the establishment of the goals and objective for the site.

?  Coordinates the hiring, training and evaluation of the site student staff.

?  Participates in monitoring the site-operating budget.

 Operational Division

 

?  Coordinate all mailings to residents, such as contracts, arrival information, cancellation, reminders, collection notices etc.

?  Oversee computer operation as related to Home Office.

?  Assist in the collection of rent payments, including completion of daily deposits and batch work.

?  Coordinate, with the Manager or Director of Housing, the daily deposits of accounts receivable.

?  Provide accurate records with regards to past due accounts and assist in the collection of past due accounts.

?  Work with General Manager to notify the University of any past due accounts.

? Assist in the assignment process and roster maintenance
