Assistant Property Manager

Premier Real Estate Services company in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area is seeking an energetic, entry-level Assistant Property Manager for their McLean, VA office.  This position will report directly to the Property Manager and will be responsible for the following:

 Conducting annual property inspections.Providing detailed reports to the Landlord regarding condition of property.Communicating with Landlords regarding repairs and maintenance that is needed and submitting work orders to vendors for approved work.Arranging for alterations to, or maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of property as specified in management services or lessee's agreement.Conducting move-in and move-out inspections at lease commencement or end.  Prepares property condition reports.Communicating with tenants regarding security deposit deductions.  Responsible for follow-up inspections and unscheduled maintenance inspections.Placing and tracking bids for property renovations.  Follow-up with vendors on outstanding work orders.  Assist in providing comparable information for leasing properties under Fair Housing rules and regulations.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

 High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing software. Will also be responsible for learning and using PROMAS.

VA Real Estate License highly preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license.Must be willing to travel locally within the Northern Virginia and have reliable transportation.
