Job Summary:

We are seeking a Bankruptcy Specialist (Asset Management Specialist II) who is detail-oriented person with minimum 2 years bankruptcy processing experience in the mortgage banking industry to work with delinquent borrowers in foreclosure and bankruptcy. This includes, but is not limited to, discussing reasons for default and determining the ability to pay, as well as monitoring accounts in Foreclosure and Bankruptcy to ensure that timeframes of the legal actions are being adhered.

Essential Job Functions:
Ensure proof of claim is filed. Review bankruptcy plan to ensure Accredited is adequately protected. Monitor attorney's actions to ensure Accredited's interest is protected. Follow-up for reaffirmation agreements.


Additional Job Functions:Document all actions on system. Ensure property inspections are being ordered. Prepare projections. Foreclosure duties and responsibilities include: Analyze delinquent accounts to determine whether or not to foreclose. This analysis includes the review of current market analysis. Make recommendations to management for course of action. Monitor attorney's actions to ensure timeframes are being met. Review foreclosure documentation received from the attorney. Prepare and recommend bid for foreclosure sale.

 

Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have above-average skill sets in Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of foreclosure; some bankruptcy helpful.

Ability to analyze loss percentages and severity and make recommendations accordingly.
