Clerk III
1. May act as a lead position within the department/unit. Utilizing experience and knowledge of systems/processes, typically provides instruction, guidance or counsel on department/unit operations/standards/methods to more junior positions.
2. Organizes and tracks documentation relevant to departmental function. Develops and implements processes to ensure that that necessary information/documentation is easy to locate and utilize.
Prioritizes multiple responsibilities to ensure timely completion of tasks
Completes logs to track delivery of mail/documentation.
3. Maintain files and appropriate documentation including sorting, filing, photocopying/faxing, tracking and maintaining of all files received and sent/checked out.
Categorize files based on approved policies and procedures.
Requests missing documentation from appropriate parties.
4. Distributes incoming mail throughout company/division/department. Where appropriate, may open incoming mail and routes to appropriate party. Date stamps mail to create record or receipt.
Sends mail/documents to appropriate party. Determine where to route mail/ documentation.
Determines best ways to efficiently accurately and efficiently distribute mail/ documentation.
5. Collects and prepares outgoing mail, including postage, addressing, stuffing envelopes by hand or with envelope stuffing machine.
6. Uses problem-solving skills to resolve outstanding issues and meet customer needs.
Determines best way to accomplish all tasks and assignments.
7. Answers telephone, conveys messages, and runs errands.
8. Prepares and mails initial compliance related documents in accordance with bank regulations.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED
5+ of experience as Clerk / Associate or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to use Internet and E-mail software.
Ability use order processing and inventory software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner .
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Good oral communication abilities.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
