Collateral Specialist

* Secure the original note to ensure proper delivery of the note to investor and/or warehouse
* Perform periodic audits to ensure appropriate note retention
* Track and monitor bailee requirements
* Other duties as assigned


* HS Diploma; Associates Degree Preferred
* 2 years of mortgage experience; preferable in a funding and/or closing capacity
* Strong knowledge of mortgage documents
* Ability to understand and follow investor, federal and state guidelines
* Proficient in MS Office with the ability to understand, learn and maneuver through multiple mortgage systems
* Strong attention to detail demonstrating a high level of accuracy and quality
* Ability to multi-task
* Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
* Strong decision making and problem solving skills
* Ability to follow up timely ensuring all timelines and deadlines are met
* Strong work ethic demonstrating a positive, client-centric attitude
* Organize, coordinate and prioritize work assignments under strict timelines in a high pressure environment.
* Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
