Custodial Specialist III

This position is responsible for the processing, certification and custody of collateral for the Bank and Mortgage Co. This includes receipt, endorsement, notarization, in-house corrections, defi corrections, certification and custody of the physical loan collateral. Involves filing and retrieval of collateral files, processing incoming collateral packages and notarizing non-MERS documents as the need arises.

We are in search of a Notary with 3+ years in the mortgage banking or banking industries in originations, or other closely related field such as custodial responsibilities. Must have 2+ years customer service experience and extensive knowledge of ARM products, all loan types and programs. Understanding of collateral certification guidelines for FHLB, FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and other investors is a must. Proficiency in the use of PC and business software is essential, as are excellent clerical skills including typing a minimum of 45 wpm, 10 key, filing, etc. Ideal candidate will have excellent comprehension, listening and verbal/written communication skills, along with the ability to multitask under deadlines, with accuracy and independently with minimal supervision. The team player we seek will be flexible, detail oriented and organized.
