Construction Administrator

Reports to:  Director of Construction

 

Overview:  To assist the construction department by monitoring the progress of projects through contract review, bid comparison, all phases of contract completion, process and file contract documents, and support the internal and field construction staff.

 

Responsibilities: Issue AIA contracts between J. Crew and General ContractorsTrack contract progress flow though signature process with executives and insure all is complete prior to construction startLog invoices and purchase orders on estimating log for construction, purchasing, architecture, and store systems. Monitor costs of projects by generating, managing and issuing a monthly report with up to date costs of each project.Code GC invoices, track approval signatures and insure timely arrival in A/PLog change ordersSet up utilities for each projectTrack permit progress with architectsInput project bids into the bid comparison form and send to the Construction manager and Director of ConstructionRegularly update bidder list and send to architectsCreate GC Start Up Books for each project Manage ?Close Out? process regarding documents from General ContractorManage budget Close Out process verifying actual costs vs. SAP charges, information in closet and archiving closures.Provide appropriate information for Tenant Allowance to REConfirm schedule dates from Construction Manager, Director of Construction, Director of Design and ArchitectsFacilitate and track construction comments thru lease execution Light administrative duties Long term:  Manage construction paperwork status report

 

Qualifications:

 Retail construction experience a plusCollege degree preferredProficient in PC applications including MS Word and ExcelSuperior attention to detailStrong written and verbal skillsExceptional organizational and follow up skills with the ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in a timely mannerStrong sense of urgency
