Customer Account Representative
The department provides operational support to the three production divisions through the review and approval of various affordable lending programs against agency and company guidelines. Creates and publishes detailed guidelines, parameters, and restrictions for these programs in a database.
The Customer Account Representative is responsible for Countrywide's operational involvement in various affordable lending products such as Community Seconds, Grants, MCC's, EAH's, and potentially mortgage revenue bonds.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Review and analyze all CSP's, Grants, MCC's, EAH's, and other programs as applicable. Submit and obtain appropriate approvals of legal docs, program agreements, and the program as a whole from management and counsel.
- Follow up on any issues with production personnel and/or housing agencies/non-profit groups.
- Act as central technical expert on these programs and the database for internal and external users and provide training as necessary.
- Enter program data into a central database, including specific program guidelines, parameters, and restrictions.
- Perform routine program follow-up to ensure programs are active and guidelines are current.
- Update database as necessary.
A successful candidate will have:
- BA in Business or related fields.
- 3+ years in mortgage banking.
- Computer literacy (Windows, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Access, and AS400 preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Be a team player.
- Be extremely detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
An ideal candidate may also possess:
- Familiarity with the requirements of loan processing, underwriting, and funding.
- Experience with affordable lending products.
