Director of Campus Planning

Description:
VP Campus Planning and Real Estate. Direct the development of the Strategic Planning Initiative (a 3-5 year project to develop the University's long-term planning strategy). In coordination with AVP, direct a team of project managers for academic, residential and administrative planning projects, coordinating short-term planning within the long-term strategy. Evaluate all new planning and capital projects. Report to AVP for Campus Planning and Design.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture (5-year degree) or Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or related field and 8-10 years' experience in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field as a project manager with demonstrated expertise in developing and coordinating master planning and feasibility studies and managing large institutional projects involving multiple clients and consultants. Strong design experience. Demonstrated record of organizational, managerial, problem solving, strategic planning and analytical skills and ability to coordinate with multiple constituents. Working knowledge of CAD and standard office software. Excellent written and verbal communication and graphic arts skills. Knowledge of NYC building, zoning and other regulatory codes. Knowledge of construction and engineering design. NYS Registered Architect preferred.
