GIS Analyst / Research Consultant

POSITION BRIEF:Create maps / support retail broker transactions with geographic data (maps and reports)Work with local offices to integrate researched local data with purchased datasets to create deliverables for transaction support (e.g. review site locations)Assist retail brokers with summarizing and clarifying trends through geography (maps and reports)Demographic and psychographic trade area analysis using radii, drive times, competition, and growth dataPart of centralized Mapping team supporting all US offices

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Create map and report deliverables using the following: Aerial imageryDemographicsHousehold SegmentationHousing Starts (residential growth)Primary Research Data (provided by local offices)Active and planned road constructionTraffic count information Recent transactions in marketClient competition dataOther GIS data (collected from the local government)Actively participate in assigned team to support offices with efficient and effective transaction support deliverables Participate as needed with other areas within research (Primary Research, Strategic Services)Participate in broker / client meetings as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Related bachelor?s degree or equivalent knowledgeSolid knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InternetSolid knowledge of image editing applications (importing / exporting aerial images for use with other applications)Knowledge of Standard Mapping Applications (Street Atlas USA, Streets & Trips, etc.)Independent problem solverStrong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsDetailed and organizedAbility to multi-task and participate within a team environmentMapInfo Professional experienceKnowledge of Relational Database Systems and/or Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
