We currently have a great opportunity in the San Fernando Valley area for an experienced, well-organized professional to originate first mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with bank policy, through assigned Regional Banking Group branches, other identified internal bank sources, as well as non-bank referral sources.

Additionally, you will:

? Cross-sell products and help build the Bank?s image and multiple customer relationships
? Solicit/obtain first mortgage inquiries from existing customer base, through bank referrals, as well as targeted marketing and/or advertising efforts to external business sources
? Make consistent efforts to make calls out of office to build relationships
? Interview customers and educate them on loan programs
? Call on potential/existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business
? Analyze current rates and loan programs and provide accurate/timely information to customers
? Originate loans, interview applicants, complete quality loan applications, and follow-up with customers
? Negotiate terms and conditions of loans with applicants
? Serve as a liaison with borrowers/customers, other bank employees, outside entities (realtors, title and escrow officers, etc.) as well as other division staff to facilitate a prompt, efficient closing of each loan
? Conduct presentations at branches, real estate office sales meetings, homebuyers seminars, or any other venue to solicit first mortgage business
? Remain current on changes in your assigned territory which might affect product sales
? Provide a high level of customer service
? Recognize the loan product as part of the total customer relationship, and work to refer or cross-sell other products and services
? Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA and Fair Lending Practices
? Communicate service and/or business issues to management to ensure timely resolution
? Manage pipeline to ensure service standards and financial goals are met
? Identify opportunities to refer customers and/or potential customers to other units of the bank to provide services that meet their needs
? Manage to prescribed personal and business unit sales plans as well as the overall strategy of Mortgage Banking

Candidates must possess:

? 2-3 years of mortgage sales experience
? PC proficiency
? The ability to work independently
? Excellent math, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, communication, and listening skills
? A Bachelor?s or Associate?s degree is preferred.
? Proven experience in first mortgage sales and customer service is desired, as is experience with financial products or services
