LEGAL CLOSING COORDINATOR
CLOSING COORDINATOR
Amerifund Home Mortgage LLC, the tri-state area's fastest growing mortgage lender, is seeking to hire a closing coordinator with a minimum of five (5) years experience closing conventional residential mortgages. The right person will be able to handle a fast paced environment, interface with loan officers and borrowers, and be self-directed. This is a ground floor opportunity with much room for rapid advancement. Salary is commensurate with experience. You must be able to prepare mortgage-closing documents.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Reviews legal documents and ensures all required documents are received and accurate (fee sheet, list of monies paid/to be collected at closing, title commitment, survey, insurance binders, disclosures, etc.). Reads title commitments, purchase agreements, mortgage insurance certificates, corporation documents, surveys, inspections and POAs to ensure all provisions are accurate and met. Reviews insurance requirements/verifications to ensure proper coverage has been secured. Confirms closing date and fees with title co. and broker, verifies wiring instructions. Transfers files to Closing Department, and changes internal status reports and updates Loan Comments section in Loan Quest. Receives files from Underwriting Department to review: 1008 approval signatures, type of closing (purchase, refinance), contract names the same as other documents, ensures that appropriate original documents are included, original appraisal and/or appraisal signature and verifies property type. Obtains all necessary closing information and documentation. Does not perform any closings. Education and/or Experience:Closing Coordinator - High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of two years related experience and training or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
