Lease Abstractor

 

An Established Commercial Real Estate Firm is looking for a Lease Abstractor to join their team

 



Job Summary:





The Lease Abstractor handles all aspects of commercial lease abstracting and administration, including initial tenant billings, commissions and security deposits. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare abstracts of newly executed leases and amendments for managed properties, including abstracts for building takeovers.Calculate commissions in connection with leasing transactions for managed properties.Enter new lease information on Property Management Systems, including appropriate billing adjustments.Enter information for new buildings on Property Management Systems, including arrears, and audit tenant billing once abstracts have been completed.Process Late Fee calculations for certain managed properties on MRI property management system.Maintain security deposits - including withdrawals and refunds - and letter of credit files.Maintain log of commissions.Coordinate information between departments.Interpret complex commercial lease language and attend to details.

 

Educational/Experience Requirements:A Bachelor or Associate?s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration or relevant field A minimum of 5 years experience working with leases in a commercial real estate setting.Strong hands-on experience with BJ Murray, MRI and Excel
