Beverly Commons is an elegant and beautifully laid-out garden-style apartment property located in Beverly, MA. It consists of 255 studio, 1 and 2 BR apartments nestled in a serene landscape of trees and flowers, yet easily accessible to commuter trains and major roadways.

 

Beverly Commons is looking for a customer-focused professional to join its leasing team. This position is the first step into property management at Corcoran Management Company. Prior sales, marketing, and/or customer service/problem resolution experience a plus.

A leasing consultant at Corcoran Management Company is responsible for three areas of the property management business:
Leasing
Administration
Resident Relations

Leasing involves touring prospective residents throughout the property, matching up their housing needs with your apartments, obtaining rental commitments, conducting background screenings, coordinating with maintenance for move-ins, compiling lease packets and ensuring that move-ins go smoothly for new residents. Sales and marketing skills would be most helpful with these responsibilities.

Administration involves posting rental payments, sending out written communication to residents including: late notices, notices to quits, lease renewals and 30-day letters. Computer skills and attention to detail would be skills most helpful to accomplish these tasks.

Resident Relations involves providing a friendly and comfortable environment for your residents. This includes coordinating maintenance repairs and communicating with the residents regarding issues on the property. Resident relations also involves planning resident get-togethers. This aspect of the job requires customer service skills, professionalism and patience. A good sense of humor doesn?t hurt either.

Overall skills needed to be a successful leasing consultant include an interest in learning the business of property management, the ability to stay organized and multi-task as well as the enjoyment of working with a diverse population in a busy office.
