Loan Set-up Team Lead

Job Description: Managing Personnel, Training, Coaching
Rely on managerial experience and interpersonal training to assist the Processing manager with the distribution and flow of work
Responsible for involvement in hiring, firing, coaching and development process
Utilization of technical mortgage industry knowledge to coordinate agenda with trainer and Processing Manager
Use of mortgage knowledge together with relocation specific experience to resolve issues
Special Projects 
Process Loans, make independent decisions based on knowledge and interpretations of client relocation policies and mortgage specific guidelines to effectively manage a pipeline of 10-15 loans per month
Submit loans through Desktop Underwriter
Review findings and type checklist for borrower
Review pre-approval packages when returned by borrower and issue pre-approvals
Prepare final loan approval conditions checklists and issue commitment letters
Initial review of appraisals
Contact EE's with loan conditions and advise realtors of approval Setup work
Setup responsibilities for one loan counselor·
Prepare new folder with checklist 
Print and mail disclosures and initial application to borrowers
Order verifications of employment and deposit
Provide coverage for absentees and overflow

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of lending requirements of the secondary market
An understanding of the operations of relocation companies and the parent company
Working knowledge of Desktop Underwriter 
A complete working knowledge of the loan process flow
Ability to discern information and prioritize quickly
Extreme high level of customer service with the ability to start and build relationships
High School graduate required
Mortgage banking courses in underwriting and appraisal required
College degree preferred
