Mortgage Closer II

Meritage Mortgage in Beaverton Oregon is looking for a Closer II to start as soon as possible.

 

You will be responsible for reviewing, funding and shipping closing packages. Duties and responsibilities include: Clears conditions at closing per guidelines to ensure marketable and or insurable loan (per guides/ approvals). Resolves and settles any discrepancies between Broker, Title Company, or Closing Agent to fund the loan according to company policy. Reconciles closing figures for Closing Agent to work up Hud-1 statement. Reviews loan documents for accuracy and to ensure a lower number of final doc errors. Coordinates loan funding including reserving, releasing, and balancing wired funds. Delivers collateral and credit files to appropriate parties within service level agreements. Completes post-closing audit of closed transactions, repairs errors, if required. May assist with doc prep and Mgt Assistant duties as needed. The responsibilities also include assisting with Closer I / Doc Prep duties as needed.

3 to 4 years experience as a mortgage loan closer with a minimum of 6 months funding experience. Standard office equipment; calculator, data entry, 10 key, familiarity with loan doc software packages. Attention to detail, customer service, quality, and time management skills are essential. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and under deadline conditions. Overtime is required at month end. High School diploma/equivalency required Associates or higher degree preferred.
