Mortgage Loan Originator

Commerce Bank is currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator. We currently have an opening based in Shiloh, Illinois and one in Creve Coeur, MO. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mortgage sales professional.



Position will require: minimum two years experience in the origination of conventional mortgage loans--including portfolio loans and loans for sale to other secondary market investors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Positive attitude. Must have no reluctance to initiate contact with realtors, builders, general public and ability to speak in front of large and small groups of people. Ability to self-motivate and achieve stated production goals of mortgage originations with limited supervision and be results oriented. Must have comprehensive understanding of guidelines, documentation, regulations and requirements of mortgage lending programs and products.



The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in business-related field. Knowledge and proficiency in use of loan software and personal computers is required. Experience in sales of other banking related products is essential. Experience in FHA/VA and other agency lending programs is a plus. Existing contacts in real estate community and participation in local public community activities is desired.
