Mortgage Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

Originate real estate secured loans via company leads. Source, develop,

package, and close real estate secured loans. Gather and review loan documents, maintain contact with customers throughout loan submission, approval and funding processes and deliver documents to branch processing staff.  Perform all work in accordance with Ameriquest /AMC Mortgage Services policies, procedures, and guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assess prospective customer?s needs, determine their interest in obtaining a loan with Ameriquest/AMC Mortgage Services.

- Order comps from appraiser and schedule appraisal, if approved by Branch Manager.

- Determine the customer?s credit risk, the requested loan amount, and maximum allowable loan amount, and then calculate the borrower?s new monthly payment, monthly savings and interest rate decrease.

- Calculate loan revenue using the pricing model in the loan origination system.

- Explain and gather the customer documentation required for loan approval.

- Act as the loan?s closing agent, if allowed under state law.

- Meet sales goals as established by the Branch Manager.

- Prepare and provide accurate reports of business development activities, as requested by the Branch Manager.

- Provide courteous and responsive service to internal and external customers and potential customers.

- Communicate effectively with customers, management, branch associates, and vendors; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment so that branch productivity and quality standards are met; organize work to meet daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.

- Learn quickly and to retain information about Ameriquest Mortgage Company?s sales

process, products and the specialty lending industry.

- Organize and plan work to meet daily, weekly and monthly sales and loan processing

deadlines and sales process flow timeline requirements in a fast-paced and changing environment with aggressive sales goals

- Meet goals with a high degree of honesty, integrity and sound judgment

- Establish a professional and collaborative working relationship with branch associates

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE2 ? 3 years of equivalent experience in Sales/Retail, Financial/Banking or Customer Service.Degree preferred.
