New Loan Set-Up Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY

The New Loan Set-up Manager will provide leadership necessary to manage the department, including personnel, processes, and projects.  The manager will also be responsible for partnering with other departments both within and outside of Acquisitions & Release to ensure that accurate data is captured to assist in servicing the loans effectively as well as eliminating risk for the company.

 

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

? Identify training opportunities, provide training and coaching

? Establish department goals for performance levels and conduct all performance reviews and goal-setting activities

? Maintain excellent associate-manager connection, holding regular one-on-one associate meetings

? Oversee the day-to-day operations of the NLSU department

? Have an up to date knowledge of compliance and regulatory laws that impact the set-up and auditing of loan data on the servicing system

? Form effective business relationships and communication channels with other leaders

? Assist the Acquisitions & Release Manager with the department?s yearly budget

? Run and maintain existing quality control data checks as well as create new quality control data checks as needed

? Recognize, quantify and resolve problems

? Prioritize work based on risk to help eliminate potential monetary losses

? Run monthly reports to provide department productivity and data quality results to various departments within the company, including the pend numbers and monthly scorecard

? Work on special projects as assigned or identified through analysis, including process changes due to new products needing to have data elements audited or manually entered by the department

? Put together a cost/benefit analysis for new projects or to justify why a modification needs to be made to a current process

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

? Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience.

? 3+ years experience in the mortgage industry, preferably in Servicing.

? 1+ years supervisory experience

? Excellent communication skills, both written and orally.

? Excellent listening and interviewing skills.

? Knowledge of servicing loan documents.

? PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite)

? Extensive LSAMS knowledge.

? Excellent organizational skills.

? Ability to handle multiple tasks.

? Ability to think through problems and apply problem-solving skills to resolve

? Strong leadership skills.
