OPERATIONS DIRECTOR (REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

Mobile Management Company Incorporated is an established (38 years+), fast growing, successful company located in the Chicagoland area.  As a multidimensional real estate management firm, our focus is on manufactured home communities in the Midwest and due to unprecedented growth and operational needs, we are seeking applicants for our Operations Director position.

 

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Operations Director is primarily responsible for the general supervision of field day-to-day operations of manufactured home communities in the tri-state area as assigned.  Specific duties of the position include

 

* Increasing management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining assigned team members; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions

* Assist the COO with developing strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.

* Accomplishing objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.

* Coordinating efforts by establishing and maintaining policies and practices for assigned field operations locations and coordinating actions with COO.

* Building company image by collaborating with customers, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.

* Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

* Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Preferred qualifications include an AA degree in Business, Operations Management or related field and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience, Bachelor's degree desirable; a minimum of 7-10+ years of demonstrated successful Real Estate Operations Management experience to include 5+ years multi-site management experience along with demonstrated supervisory experience, background either in a fast-paced family-owned environment and/or relevant real estate related industry experience with direct customer interaction highly desirable; excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral; the ability to establish rapport with a diverse customer base, both internal and external; computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel a must; and the ability to meet the demands of the position that will require much dedication.  

 

PLEASE NOTE: Although the Operations Director position is required to be on-site at Mobile Management Company Incorporated?s office in the northwest side of Chicago (Devon/Harlem close to Park Ridge) at least one day per week, travel requirements will include traveling to various assigned MMC sites throughout the tri-state area (Illinois, Indiana & Michigan locations with the furthest destinations usually within 3 hours drive) for weekly operational and other off-site meetings generally for the remainder of the workweek.
