Each Correspondent Lending Division (CLD) Regional Operations Center is responsible for the credit quality and purchasing of all loans in
their region.
The Operations Account Manager is responsible for proactively managing the pipelines of assigned Sellers and providing superior customer service by anticipating the product and training needs of our Sellers. Consistently works with Sales and Operations branch and team management to assess customer needs and create solutions and/or efficiencies.
Duties include maintaining an ongoing and thorough knowledge of the loan purchase process including a complete understanding of all Gems modules, including enhancements as they occur, and the AS400 Servicing System. Will develop and recommend enhancements to systems, processes and tracking to better meet CLD and Seller's needs. Will be required to maintain an ongoing knowledge of all loan programs including knowledge of CLD specialized products. Identify and suggest needed training for the loan purchase staff based on observation to the ROM or AROM. Will also address and train customers with identified problematic delivery or purchasing issues as well as work with new Sellers to avoid delivery and funding "pitfalls." Provide routine reporting to sales staff regarding Sellers' business developments within CLD operations. Involves monitoring the pipeline (purchasing and underwriting) to proactively identify and address negative or positive trends in Seller's lock/delivery volume with CLD. Works closely with all branch management and Team Leaders with respect to establishing branch goals and objectives and create a plan or strategy for achievement. Maintain current knowledge of changes in policy and procedure within the Regional Operations Center in order to better meet Seller's needs.
Requirements:
- 4-year college degree, Finance preferred.
- Broad knowledge of mortgage banking, especially in wholesale/correspondent lending.
- Specific knowledge of loan origination process with an emphasis on the funding/closing process.
- Exceptional customer service skills and attitude.
- Excellent computer skills, Excel a must.
Good writing and analytical skills.
- 5 years of mortgage banking, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
