Professional Accountant needed to join highly successful Real Estate Investment Trust company

We are currently seeking a proven effective, highly motivated Real Estate Accountant to join our Greenville, SC based Real Estate Accounting team. The selected individual will play an integral role in the processing, reporting, and analysis of accounting data for a portfolio of properties owned and/or managed by AIMCO.

Specifically responsible for general accounting services to include maintaining general ledger, calculating monthly fees, reviewing all property bank reconciliations, journal entries, process reclassification requests from the field. Also accountable for monthly reporting/operations review to include preparing monthly trend analysis and trial balance, and processing recurring financial transactions and payments. Will process/record monthly debt service payments, maintain related general ledger and will maintain records for property assets and record major transactions as well as completing annual audit of partnership financials.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Accounting Knowledge of the fundamental doctrines, theories, principles and terminology of accounting Strong MS Office experience Flexible, timely, accurate with a strong attention to detail Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to take initiative in complex situations
