800 Stores to open in 2006!  Dollar General is looking for world-class Real Estate site research and negotiation professionals!  Are you looking to join an industry leader in order to showcase your retail real estate talent?  The top candidate will have experience going into unfamiliar markets, researching suitable retail chain store sites (new construction or existing) negotiating win-win leases, closing the deal and following the details through to store opening?  This position will specialize in our Dollar General store concept. Experience taking a site through the extensive approval and development process is a big plus!  NOTE:  This is a field-based position and may be located anywhere within NM.

Assist in Target Market development.
Conduct market searches for suitable sites.
Successfully negotiate and submit lease proposals.
Work with all appropriate parties to secure what is necessary to develop the site.
Follow up on all aspects of site development.




What will it take?Previous experience in a similar Corporate Real Estate environment Real estate broker or real estate representative experience working with companies siting many small stores with specific market requirements is highly preferred Direct experience as a broker or real estate rep dealing with Dollar General leases is a plus Very strong negotiation skills consistent with Dollar General values Good verbal and written communication skills An energetic, self-motivated, self-starter Strong organizational skills Degree in Marketing, Management or Business with Real Estate experience preferred Willingness to travel extensively within the district

Compensation will consist of a competitive salary based on experience, with bonus potential.
