Position Summary:

Refurbish, list and sell AMC's inventory of properties acquired through foreclosure. Perform all duties in accordance with AMC policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

_ Assess the needs of each foreclosed property by inspecting the premises and recommending necessary repairs.
_ Develop marketing programs for properties and recommend for approval.
_ Establish and maintain a viable broker network capable of effectively disposing of acquired properties.
_ Review offers and counteroffers. Approve or recommend approval acceptance in accordance with adopted procedures.
_ Prepare and maintain a well-documented chronicle of all events and actions pertaining to the disposition of the properties.
_ Provide useful and timely feedback to the Manager of REO Department about market conditions and problem areas.
_ Prepare analysis of financial, marketing and physical status of property on an ongoing basis.
_ Provide paper documentation for data input on a daily basis.
_ Supervise repairs, including contracting and payments.
_ Manage the eviction and/or buy out of occupants.
_ Select brokers and enter into agreements for the marketing of properties.
_ Coordinate insurance claims for all properties.
_ Conduct periodic field reviews of properties to ensure performance/compliance of brokers and vendors.
_ Supervise the property management of properties.
_ Manage the closing process to assure REO sale closes on schedule.
_ Perform other duties as requested by the Manager of Residential Sales.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & LICENSES:

_ General knowledge of real estate transactions, policies and procedures and lending laws
_ Excellent verbal communication skills and customer service orientation
_ Real Estate license helpful


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
_ BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent in banking and mortgage lending experience
_ Four to six years experience in real estate lending and real estate sales
_ Minimum five years in a supervisory or managerial capacity

_ Personal computer, facsimile, photocopier, Microsoft Word and Excel
