Position/Title:  Real Estate Acquisitions Associate

 

Reports to:  President

 

Location:  Philadelphia

 

Company:  Privately held real estate investment and management company which currently owns 30 communities, 7,000 units in seven states in Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.  The company invests for private individuals, and institution grade equity partners.  The organization is renowned for exceptional management and for producing outstanding financial returns.

 

Responsibilities:

 Supervise acquisitions process, from identification to due diligence.Manage the entire portfolio of potential acquisition candidates.Underwrite prospective assets.Present to President investment opportunities.Cultivate broker relationships.Develop working knowledge of sub-markets in target areas throughout eastern U.S.Participate in financing activities as required and in conjunction with CFO.Oversee due diligence activities.Perform market surveys.

 

Skills:

 4-10 years of relevant acquisitions experienceStrategic, creative thinker with a track record of creating and developing real estate investment opportunities.Capable of assessing risk.Significant experience with ?value-add? opportunities.Excellent quantitative skills.Excellent oral and written communications skills.Four year degree required; MBA preferred.

 

Opportunity for Advancement:  This position may lead to promotion to director of real estate acquisitions.

 

Other:  Frequent travel required.
