Taking its name from the African word "jama," meaning to celebrate, Jamba Juice is very much an American entrepreneurial success.  Founded in 1990 as The Juice Club by Kirk Perron, Jamba now operates nearly 600 stores nationwide (combined company-owned and franchised).  Jamba, headquartered in San Francisco, also has partnership agreements with area developers in Hawaii and Texas and operates stores on college campuses and in airport locations across the country.  Our locations are unique and colorful quick serve restaurants with annual volume ranging from $.4m to $1.5m and are often found in freestanding, outdoor malls to accommodate our active customers.

 

Primary Role:

Providing the Real Estate team with administrative and scheduling support in all areas of acquisition.

 

Essential Functions:

Administrative

- Respond to all Real Estate inquiry phone calls & mail. Manage the realestate.com email box.

- Assist REMs (Real Estate Managers) with completion of Site Submittal Packages

- LOD (Lease Outline Drawing) Packages ? Track & assemble (scan, print, etc.) for submission to Store Architecture

- Maintain all Outlook calendared meetings (Real Estate Committee, RE Tours, REM update calls, etc.)

- Maintain Real Estate VP?s Outlook calendar, travel, & expenses

Scheduling and Travel

- ICSC preparation and meeting scheduling

- Proactive planning of RE Tours (air travel, hotels, itineraries, etc.)

- Mapping ? Nearest stores maps, maps for RE Tours, etc.)

- Update RE templates (Development Calendar, Market Strategy, etc.)

- Maintain contact information spreadsheets and databases

 

Requirements:

- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

- Detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills

- Ability to work on a team

- Understanding of retail real estate

- Negotiation and Project Management skills

- Ability to work in a fast pace and changing environment

- General computer skills including Excel and Streets & Trips

 

NOTE:  In late December 2006, Jamba Juice will be re-locating its headquarters from San Francisco to the East Bay, most likely Emeryville.  The final location has not been finalized as of yet but the lease on our San Francisco Support Center is up at the end of December necessitating a move.
