Regional Wholesale Mortgage Lending Manager- Mid-Atlantic Region

 

A Regional Wholesale Lending Manager oversees the performance of the origination, processing and closing functions of the production of wholesale loans.  Focuses on increasing market share and profitability of the wholesale lending division.  Develops and maintains customer/broker relationships in all aspects of the business.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

? Monitors the overall operational performance of the Wholesale Account Executives (approximately 13) - Product/Technology Consultants of the Mid-Atlantic Region.

? Manages the client specific pricing for their specific region as it relates to profitability.

? Maintains responsibility for all outstanding customer deficiencies and invoices throughout the specified region.

? Develops and maintains broker relationships, including publishing rate sheets, soliciting production and communicating underwriting standards.

? Oversee the loan underwriting and closing to ensure receipt of quality production, resulting in sellable loan packages in the secondary market.

? Manage, train and motivate Account Executives in all facets of the business including ?time and territory management?.  Gemstone and mortgage product knowledge.

? Administers personnel-related matters including employment, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.

? Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Education and experience:

? Bachelor?s degree with concentration in business administration, finance or related field.

? Minimum of five years of experience in wholesale/correspondent lending. 

? Minimum of five years of experience in the supervision, development and administration of a sales team.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

? Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage loan products and services.

? Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage banking functions including marketing, origination, underwriting, processing and closing.

? Excellent leadership and people management skills.

? Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

? Strong customer service, sales and presentation skills.

? Strong time management and organizational skills.

? PC literate with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and data base reporting.

? Ability to travel a minimum of 75% of the time with the AE?s throughout their region.
