Risk Analyst

Summary: In order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of current procedures, it is the responsibility of the risk department to follow up on project implementations and the subsequent results. Success of our reviews is measured by increased compliance with defined regulations and improved effectiveness and efficiency within functional areas as a result of process change or improvement recommendations. Assures through regular reviews that proper processes, procedures and controls are in place within the Operational units of the Company. Reviews should also confirm that compliance with state, federal, and internal policy guidelines are being followed. The analyst will utilize strong technical skills coupled with a solid mortgage background to produce reports for various business units.

 Duties:

1. Develop quality review programs that correspond to business initiatives and direction.

2. Make decisions and exercise discretion based on reviews to improve efficiency, effectiveness, accuracy and compliance within respective departments.

3. Utilize problem solving, discretions and judgment skills to discover source of exceptions, rather than symptomatic manifestations.

4. Develop recommendations for process improvements.

5. Assure compliance with federal regulations and agencies, investor requirements and internal policies and procedures.

6. Review Companies servicing efforts on individual loans to assess the quality of operations activities.

 Specs:

1. Bachelor?s degree

2. Proficient creating complex queries with SQL, and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks within deadlines with minimal supervision.

3. Strong analytical skills and excellent negotiation skills.

4. Excellent communications and interaction skills.

5. Excellent computer skills, including use of all Office applications. 6. Intermediate Excel and Access skills
