SENIOR MORTGAGE UNDERWRITER - FHA a plus!

Calling all mortgage underwriters!  If you are looking for a challenging position with a great deal of responsibility and growth potential, we have just that opportunity for you.  We are looking for an underwriter for our busy mortgage banking office.  In this important position, you will responsible for the approval or denial of all mortgages for our banking office. 

 

Responsibilities:Review mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy, completeness and form a decision based upon investor guidelines.Run loans through various AUS systems and validate findings.Approve or deny mortgages on a timely basis with limited supervision.Ensure the quality and accuracy of every loan.Review appraisals for accuracy and completeness.Work with processors, funders, shipping coordinators to resolve condition requirements.

 

Requirements:Must have 3-5 years of sub-prime underwriting experience.FHA knowledge/experience preferred.Maintain a high level of product knowledge.Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate affectively with loan officers.
