POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Senior Director, Sales (SDS) is the leader directly responsible for the bottom line results of the resorts and urban projects within an assigned region. Reporting to the Business Unit VP, this person can best be viewed as an entrepreneurial leader who drives the overall direction and accountability of his or her team.

 

The primary responsibilities are those of strategic planner, design expert, financial analyst, mentor, business development expert, motivator, trainer of Playground?s Branded Way of Selling and holder of the company flame. The SDS is able to call on the various resources from the many specialty teams in all locations across Playground?s network, and is adept at knowing how and when to draw on specialized expertise to get the job done.

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

 

* Creating and developing an independently functioning team of Resort Sales Directors, Sales Specialists, Sales Associates and Sales Operations team within an assigned region

* Providing active and open mentorship to Project Sales Directors, Sales Specialists, Sales Associates, Project Marketing and Operations Team members

* Promoting sales specialist and associate training and succession planning programs

* Ensuring a consistency in sales approach, market messaging and branding

* Responsible for the success of the sales and marketing strategy execution to meet or beat the business plan

* Achieving target profitability for each project within the region

* Building and maintaining healthy, authentic client/partner relationships

* Assisting in strategic planning for all active clients and providing timely approvals of strategy documents and budget

* Providing active advice and direction in product development, design and product roll-out timing to the partner/client

* Participating in problem solving as it relates to daily challenges that the Resort Sales and Marketing Directors and other team members experience

* Seeking additional growth opportunities

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

 

I) Qualifications and Experience ? ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED



 

+ Continuing education diploma/degree in business preferred

+ 5 years experience within the real estate resort industry managing multiple resorts within a district or region

+ 3 years experience in a professional/project management leadership capacity

+ General business experience including bottom line responsibilities

+ CO Real Estate RE license required; Broker's license is preferred
