Secondary Marketing Business Contract Manager - Mortgage

Requirements:

In this position, you will review, negotiate and maintain Agency and Private Investor whole loan contracts for Wachovia Mortgage Corporation?s Secondary Marketing Department; enlist support of appropriate Legal and Business counterparts to ensure compliance and adherence to the terms of all agreements; and act as point person for all whole loan deals by ensuring pricing terms, delivery processes and due diligence reviews are coordinated with all appropriate parties. You will proactively understand, review and research impact of new process initiatives and/or changes to existing products to the Pricing Administration/Trading, Loan Delivery, Quality Control, Credit Policy, Sales and Mortgage Loan Servicing areas. You will also resolve investor or deal specific problems as needed, communicate product, guideline and Secondary operational changes with MC employees and research/pursue potential revenue and volume increasing investor opportunities. In addition, you will respond to internal inquiries as it relates to Secondary; act as a Secondary subject matter expert; and pursue, research and develop new investor/product initiatives as needs. You will respond in a timely fashion to inquiries related to product salability and GSE/Investor guideline clarification; actively participate in project meetings that impact Secondary Marketing; maintain a market/competitor information database; develop/strengthen relationships with Sales, Product Development and Investor Relations; and pursue/develop relationships with GSEs, existing private investors and potential investors, as well as design/create executive level reports as needed.

Five plus years? minimum experience in Mortgage Banking and/or Contract Finance with a detailed understanding of the Secondary Market are required. Five plus years? overall mortgage industry and/or legal/contract experience is preferred. Bachelor?s degree in business, finance or related field is required. Relationship building skills are a must and experience in direct securitization transactions and a working knowledge of sub prime industry transactions is strongly preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong quantitative/reporting are also required.
