Senior Real Estate Analyst

Abyssinian Development Corporation (ADC) a leading Harlem based non-profit community development corporation dedicated to building the human, social and physical capital of Harlem is seeking a Senior Real Estate Analyst.  The Senor Real Estate Analyst will provide transactional, financial, underwriting, and sensitivity analysis on all existing and proposed development projects, including the monitoring of the financial performance of the owned assets in the ADC portfolio, and special projects as assigned by the Vice President, Real Estate.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide financial analysis, underwriting, and sensitivity analysis on all existing and proposed development projects.Responsible for financial, valuation, rate of return analysis, and feasibility analysis of real estate investment and development opportunities.Providing real estate and financial analysis on projects that ADC is asset managing, including monitoring performance indicators that measure actual property /portfolio performance versus budget.Provide due diligence on development and acquisition projects.Provide underwriting support for RFP?s

OTHER DUTIES INCLUDE:Other tasks as assigned by Vice President, Real Estate

   

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Real Estate, with five (5) years financial analysis experience, including 2-3 years of real estate development analysis. Experience with residential real estate a must, and commercial real estate experience is desired.

 

Specific Skills:

Must have strong quantitative skills.  Knowledge of budgeting, underwriting, due diligence, asset and portfolio valuation, and analysis of financial statements are required. Must have experience analyzing real estate development transactions.  Expertise in MS Excel is required, and knowledge of MS Project is desired.
