Senior Retail Underwriter

Spectrum Funding Corporation, Inc. (SFC) is looking for a Senior Retail Underwriter to join or team in our Corporate Offices in Salt Lake due to our controlled expansion driven by our continued product and geographic additions, aggressive pricing and dedicated team members who are committed to delivering the very best in this ever-changing industry.

Duties-Independently conduct comprehensive evaluations on a variety of complex loan applications. Apply your knowledge/ experience to interpret applicable underwriting guidelines Assessing all variables and determining conditions for loan approvals or denials to make final underwriting decisions Ability to quickly and efficiently handle a wide array of loan types Identify and recommend alternative financing solutions. Educating Loan Officers and Branches on a variety of SFC products and programs.

Qualifications-An individual who understands and knows their businessHigh school diploma or greater Minimum of 5 years recent underwriting experience In-depth knowledge of a variety of products and program guidelines ranging from Non-conforming, Niche, Alt A in addition to Conforming and FHA/ VA Proficient with various AUS, including but not limited to DU, LP Currently maintain a minimum underwriting signing authority of $650000 Ability to execute decision making through loan guidelines, with senior management input only as needed Superior customer service skills and attention to detail Strong analytic, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
