First Industrial Realty Trust, the nation?s leader in industrial real estate, is looking for a Sr. Research Analyst to join the corporate Acquisitions/Research team. This position is based in our corporate office in Chicago, IL.  Responsibilities include:  Quantitative analysis of First Industrial investment performance, Tracking investments and divestments and compiling the weekly Compliance Certificate, Working on quarterly earnings, Compiling and interpreting data for various investor, analyst and employee presentations, Writing monthly economic update for senior management, Tracking domestic and international industrial real estate markets, Helping to develop capital allocation strategy for the company, Analyzing company performance vs. that of its competitors, and Tracking company performance vs. its underwriting; regional profitability.

 

The ideal candidate should possess 4-5 years of relevant work experience and a college degree in real estate, finance, or economics.  Good interpersonal communication skills, quantitative skills and a knowledge of statistics, written communication skills (including the ability to interpret and transform a large volume of information into clear and succinct reports), and a knowledge of Microsoft software are necessary.
