THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Underwriter, you?ll perform loan file review and underwriting to determine compliance with company guidelines, underwriting philosophy, policy and procedures, and ensure timeliness and accuracy of work to meet company productivity guidelines.

 

 

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

?Underwrite to GMAC-RFC and Homecomings Financial Network Wholesale Funding philosophy a minimum of 4-5 loans per day maintaining the companies customer service standards.

?Communicate all loan decisions to the customer within one hour of issuance.  Accept and return calls from customers within one hour of receipt.

 

?Timely replies to Quality Control audit findings and Delivery/Suspense corrections and program violations as requested by management.

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

?  High school diploma

?  3 years investment grade mortgage lending experience

?  Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience

?  PC skills required, MS Windows environment- MS Word, Excel, and mortgage industry applications.

?  Comprehensive understanding of FNMA/FHLMC/investor guidelines.

?  Ability to fulfill loan file underwriting function by analyzing credit, income, assets, and property.

?  Familiarity with industry-standard underwriting practices.

?  Up-to-date knowledge of market conditions.

?  Excellent oral, written, and listening communications skills.

?  Independent decision making ability.

?  Effectively analyze and problem solve.

?  Manage multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.

?  Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

?  Exhibits integrity, flexibility, results orientation, ability to interact effectively with others, team playing, and quality focus to provide for cohesive, productive unit dedicated to the achievement of company goals.
