We offer product lines consisting of varying credit profiles, first and second lien position, purchase and refinance transactions. Both Fixed rate and Adjustable rate programs are available. The programs offered include, but are not limited to, programs that allow for borrowers with less than perfect credit, non-standard income documentation, or borrowers looking for additional cash.

Primary Function





- Acting as a liaison between the client and underwriting.


- Evaluating mortgage applications.


- Working in conjunction with the Account Executives in building correspondent relationships and issuing loan commitments.


- Providing quality loans for the company by underwriting and evaluating residential mortgage applications originated by the company''''''''s branch offices.





Principal Duties





- Pipeline management.


- Pricing Loans accurately and strategically to maximize Secondary Marketing income.


- Approving or rejecting residential loans within limited authority.


Working with Account Executives and branches to assist them in qualifying loans.


- Keeping informed of current practices in loan underwriting.


- Communicating loan decisions to Account Executives/Correspondents in a timely fashion and ensure compliance deadlines are met with regards to pre-disclosures, approval letters, denial notices and counteroffers.


- Following up with brokers to obtain conditions necessary for loan approval.


- Consulting with the closing department to ensure that all underwriting conditions are met prior to closing the loan.


- Collecting and analyzing credit reports, financial statements and appraisals.

Education and Experience Requirements





- College Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or Banking preferred or equivalent.


- Minimum 2-3 years experience in the sub prime industry or finance company environment preferred.





Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements





- Intermediate PC skills in a Windows based environment.


- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


- Strong analytical skills.


- Proof reading skills.


- Candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.


- Candidate must be detail oriented and organized.


- Ability to independently.


- Candidate must be flexible, personable and have an even temperament.
