Underwriter - Mortgage Master

ComUnity Lending, Inc. is a 25 year-old, privately held mortgage banking firm headquartered in Morgan Hill, CA.  We are currently looking for self-motivated, creative, and open-minded individuals to fill our positions.

Job Overview:

Our innovative service model utilizes a full-service mortgage professional, whom we call a Mortgage Master.  The Mortgage Master can underwrite, draw documents, and fund the loan transaction, all without the handoff to others.  The result is better service to our customers, and fewer headaches for the Mortgage Master.

Our Mortgage Masters typically work on fewer loans per month than traditional underwriters, since the Mortgage Master is doing more work on each loan.  In the end, your workload will be about the same as a traditional underwriting position, but your skill level (and income) will surpass those of your peers in the industry.

Job Requirements:Minimum 3 years underwriting experience in conventional, government, and investor programs Must be able to work in a demanding, fast paced environment and work well under pressure Ability to provide exceptional customer service and interact with the loan originators on a daily basis Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize Previous document drawing and/or funding experience preferred Closing experience preferred Knowledge in 2nds a plus AUS experience a plus
