Job Responsibilities:

Oversee development of all company?s residential real estate projects in the Bay Area.  We are seeking a confident, hard working individual who has the ability to make our residential communities happen.  Responsibilities include land acquisition, land contract negotiation, entitlement processing, coordination of all architectural and engineering consultants, management of construction, project budgeting and scheduling, and oversight of sales and marketing operations.  In short, you will be the developer of multiple communities in charge of every aspect of their creation and execution.  Most real estate development firms have specialists that focus on only one aspect of the process (acquisition, finance, construction, etc.).  We need a generalist who can handle all areas of development and have the ability to orchestrate and influence a diverse group of internal and external team members and constituents to achieve success.  Candidate will have strong management skills, excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to effectively manage time, resources, and set proper priorities.

Our compensation system includes a salary and bonus plan that aligns the economic incentives of our development personnel with the performance of the projects on which they work.

 

Skills/Experience:

?  Intelligence to handle complex real estate projects and participate in the creation and execution of proprietary development techniques

?  Strong management skills and proven accountability for results

?  Ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.  Demonstrated ability to get things done.

?  Ability to manage multiple projects in multiple locations and at various stages in the development process

?  Solid business judgment

?  Optimism, enthusiasm, and high energy that translates into positive action

?  Ability to maximize contributions from both external and internal resources

?  Strong communication and interpersonal skills

?  Able to thoroughly understand and update detailed budget analyses, summaries and reports

?  Ability to manage through ambiguity, make effective decisions and prioritize

?  High degree of computer literacy

 

Education:

Experience with real estate development, building construction, project management and financial tracking.  Real Estate, Construction, Management, Finance, Engineering or Business degree is required; MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.  Experience working with city planning and building departments in the Bay Area is also desirable.
