Vice President, Real Estate Development

TITLE:  VICE-PRESIDENT, REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

 

REPORTS TO:  PRESIDENT, ENTERPRISE DIVISION

 

This position is specifically responsible for the direction and overall management of Real Estate Development for the Enterprise Division of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. This role will provide the technical and legal expertise in compliance with State of Florida standards to conduct and provide advice regarding all real estate activities, such as title work, survey, easements, and environmental issues, and appraisal reviews; provide advice regarding site and route selection, purchase, trade and/or sale of property interests; provide advice regarding state, federal and/or environmental issues; conduct negotiations, and monitor other potential areas that might present risk for each transaction and/or venture.  This role will also be responsible for developing, implementing and managing a robust real estate program in alignment with the Authority?s aeronautical and master plan development, while striving to creatively maximize the use of available Authority land. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  (cannot be waived)

The position requires at least five (5) years of real estate development experience.  Candidates must possess a Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university.  Must obtain a Florida Real Estate License within one (1) year of employment. Demonstrated knowledge of real estate development business practices a must.  Strong oral and written communication skills and solid experience in negotiations mandatory.  Must be competent in operating standard Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Must possess a positive attitude, be customer service focused, and have the ability to work in a team environment.  A valid driver?s license is required.
